In January 1963, a student at the Stowe School, a private school of just a few hundred boys, wrote to Brian Epstein, and arranged for the Beatles to appear at the school for £100. Another boy said, "I don't think they realized quite what it was that they'd allowed to come down here. It was like something from a different planet had arrived."
WASHINGTON -- The Beatles were likely the most-photographed band of all time -- so the idea of never-before-seen images of John, Paul, George, and Ringo seems impossible.

Just back from another well-received round of shows with the All-Starr Band, Gregg Rolie continues working on a new solo release, the Santana/Journey co-founder's first since 2011. Rolie says that touring with Ringo Starr was "too much fun for anyone to have. Had a blast as always with these guys. I'm up for this anytime or anywhere. It's electric."
Rolie posted a new photo with Frenchie Smith and Sean Rolie, taken at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Texas, as they were “finishing mixes on new material.”
The Beatles' acclaimed 2003 album Let It Be... Naked makes its global digital debut today exclusively on iTunes. In addition to the 11-track album, the iTunes LP features all of the original booklet art and liner notes, as well as bonus audio of studio banter captured during The Beatles' 1969 recording sessions for Let It Be.

The nine-foot 1877 Steinway grand piano that sat for years in Motown Studio B in Detroit, Michigan, was returned to Hitsville USA, and reassembled in Studio A by Steinway technicians, after a complete restoration at the company's factory in New York.

A fierce bidding-war skyrocketed the price of a rare Beatles Record to a record-breaking $290,500 today. The copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was signed by all four Beatles, and said to be in extraordinary condition. According to the auctioneer, the sale set a new record, beating a previous price in the $190,000 range.
On Tuesday, July 9, Paul McCartney will play Boston's Fenway Park, returning by popular demand for the first time since his August 5 and 6, 2009 shows set the record for the highest ever two-day concert attendance in the history of the storied ballpark.
